His long term investigation of the relationship between electronic information and data systems, and the raw hardware that drives these technologies, draws on aesthetic, engineering and programming disciplines, as well as a wider spectrum of scientific principles. His work was exhibited in amongst others DEAF03, Cybersonica, Galerie Lisa Ruyter and Ars Electronica.<br \/>\nHerwig Weiser studied at academies in Germany and the Netherlands. Weiser has won several awards for his work, such as the award-interactive at Transmediale.01 and the Claasen-F\u00f6rderpreis for photography and media art.<\/p>\n<p>He is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dock-berlin.de\/?page_id=146\">artist in residence<\/a> at DOCK-Berlin 2009.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/www.zgodlocator.org\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.zgodlocator.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.zgodlocator.org\/<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Herwig Weiser (D) is an interdisciplinary artist.
